Cruise Line Using Recycled Used Cooking Oil to Fuel Ship

Celestyal Discovery, a boutique cruise line, has become the first ship in Greece to be refuelled with a marine biofuel blend. The biofuel, produced locally, reduces carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 21%. This initiative marks a significant step towards sustainable cruising, with Celestyal Discovery leading the way in reducing the environmental impact of the cruise sector in Greece. The ship recently underwent a major refit, adding new staterooms and increasing its premium capacity by 52%. Celestyal Discovery will offer "Iconic Greek Islands" cruises departing Athens and "Iconic Arabia" cruises departing Abu Dhabi, showcasing the cruise line's commitment to sustainability and innovation in the industry.
